Best Tips for a Flawless Wedding Tan

- Book your Trial Tan as soon as you know your dates. A trial tan is simply a custom spray tan session that should be used for photo shoots, bachelorette trips, bridal showers, etc. before your big day to help access how your color looks in all light sources.

- Pre-Book your Wedding Tan 2-3 days before your wedding day. Take into account your reception times and other activities to allow your spray tan to develop perfectly.

- Follow our Prep + Post Tan Guides to help achieve the best results for your big day. This includes preparing all your beauty services before your spray tan.

- Consider your Bridal Party. Both of our studios are happy to accommodate your entire party for a "Wedding Bronze Session". We love hosting these for parties of 4+ or more and provide the bride a mini travel kit of tan care goodies for her honeymoon!

- Be sure to set aside time for your tan to fully develop the day of your spray tan.

- We also recommend that you allow at least 2 full showers before slipping into your wedding dress/attire to reduce the possibility of bronzer transfer.

First let's determine if you've a newbie at spray tanning.

YES = BOOK A Trial Tan as soon as possible, so that you can get comfortable with the process, the tan results and how you'll look in your dress. A Trial Tan should be done at minimum 3 weeks before the wedding to ensure all leftover tan color is completely gone before your wedding tan is applied.

NO = Book that wedding tan at least 2 days before wedding day. This will allow you plenty of time to develop, rinse and full shower before putting that amazing gown on.

DURING TAN: any undergarments left on will leave a tan line. use your best discretion for how you want your tan to develop for wedding day and beyond into post wedding travels.

AFTER TAN: bring loose fitting, dark clothing to wear after your tan. it's essential to keep your skin from touching prolonged periods during development time.

PRO TIP: watch the weather for spray tan day. bring umbrella, rain coat, long pants, etc. to protect that tan.

+ Mani-Pedi, Massages, Brows, Lashes, Facials... all other beauty services should be done BEFORE your spray tan session.

+ Any skin services done after your tan can definitely effect your results and no bride wants that to happen.

+ Undergarments Matter: remember any undergarments left on will leave a tan line. this is essential for any planned outfit changes or honeymoon travels.

+ Tan Line Fixes: if you've been suntanning and have tan lines for our artists to hide, please be aware that fixing tan lines is one of the largest challenges in spray tanning. our goal is to match tan lines to 70% at the best outcome.

One of the main ingredients in spray tans are the beautiful bronzers that are seen immediately after application.

These bronzers if not removed before putting on your wedding dress can transfer onto the lining of your wedding dress.

We recommend at least 2 showers before getting dressed on wedding day.

A full body application of dusting powder where you sweat will also help decrease the chance of transfer.

Remember a spray tan is like a full body tattoo. Any friction and sweating against the skin and clothing can cause transfer.
